Your horse should pick up the lead opposite the foot you ask with. If I want the correct lead in any direction, I usually remember it by asking for a canter with my outside leg. So if I’m cantering a circle arena clockwise, my left leg is to the outside of the arena and my right leg is to the center. So ask with your left. If you are going around an arena counter-clockwise, your right leg is to the outside and your left to the inside. So you’ll ask with your right.
Hey everyone!
So I know I suck. :P
I was accepted into the university I was desperately hoping to get into for my studies in vet medicine and I’ve just be swamped with school! I’ll try to catch up with everything here over the next week. Just bare with me.

Did even notice the blog reached 1,000 followers this week! Go say “Hey!” to number #1,000.
Hey everyone,
As much as I HATE to do this, I have to put a temporary end to the Featured Horse. I really want every horse to get an opportunity at being featured on this blog, but I just got accepted to Quinnipiac University for their pre-med program and I know it’s going to take up a lot of my time. I may take on some partners for this blog at the beginning of the school year. If that works out well, I’ll bring back the Featured Horse.

Hey everyone!
Sorry for being gone for so long. Some things came up in my life and I just couldn’t find the time to post new lessons and what not. I’m working on them now and will be posting agains soon. :)
I was leasing a horse for a while, but recently had to end my lease due to money issues that came up.
