Sorry we did not do a Featured Horse for these last two weeks of March. Things got crazy busy for me with work and school and riding. A new horse will be selected on April 1st. :)
Our new Featured Horse is… NORMIE!
horsesaremyoxygen says:
“This is my 9 year old APHA/ PtHA gelding, Investers Norfleet AKA Normie. He is literally my world. He has taught me so much, but one of the biggest lessons he has taught me is to never give up. When I was going through a rough time with my parent’s divorce, Norm was there for me. When I moved halfway across the country, Norm came with me. I swear, he just gets me. When I’m nervous before a class, he carries me through and calms me down. All my biggest dreams have been accomplished with this horse, and I have so many more things I want to do with him that I’m sure we can accomplish. Our most recent accomplishment was winning 4th in novice youth showmanship at Color Breed Congress this year, out first year showing breed shows, after I had to take a month and a half off due to surgery.”
Hey everyone.
So you may have noticed the blog has been a little “dead” lately. It’s because I’ve run into a bit of a writers block. I try to come up with new lessons every time I go to my barn or when I ride Bailey, but as of recently my brain has just been stuck.
Don’t forget that you can always submit the lessons you’ve learned through riding or being around horses as well.
Our new Featured horse is… Desi!
errantscarsanddyingstars says:
“This is my three year old, 17 HH, thoroughbred, Look Alive, Sunshine, AKA “Desi”. Desi was the horse that no one wanted. He was abused before I got him and would just stand in the corner and shake any time someone got near him. He was too gangly and clumsy to ever be a jumper and had too much knee action for hunters. He has taught me to never judge a book by it’s cover. not only is his the most beautiful jumper I have ever seen (he’s also an awesome barrel racer) he’s also my will to live. I’m glad no one wanted him, because I ended up with my very best friend.”
